This is a Sonic the Hedgehog costume I made for my son last year.   Finding a premade costume for Sonic was impossible so I made one — it came out great and my son received many compliments!

My son was 6 last year and it fit him perfectly, however being small for his age I would estimate it would fit age 4-6.   The legs were made extra long so can be folded under if they are a little long.

The head is made of polyester fabric and fits over the childs head so that he can look through Sonic’s eyes.  The face is made of felt and the eyes are of embroidery canvas with felt.  The ears are wired so they stick up and can be positioned as desired.

The horns/spikes are stuffed with batting and the inside of the head is padded.

The body is polyester with a felt tummy and fastens with velcro in the back.  The tail is stuffed with batting.  The shoe covers are made of felt and fasten with velcro at the back.  My sons shoes are a kids size 1 in the photo and covers them completely.  The gloves are plastic and are the costume ones that can be bought at costume shops and retail for about $10.   The costume was only worn once, and has been washed & cleaned.  Comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
